Acrylic on canvas
Framed: 46cm (W) x 56 cm (H)
The Helford is a river I know well. I've sailed it in all seasons, but spring is when it feels most alive - the banks thick and green, and the surroundings are quietly waking up.
This painting came from those hazy, overcast spring days when the tide is nearing high and the river feels a sense of stillness with barely a ripple. The kind of morning where you find yourself just drifting and taking it all in.
Soft greens and sage run through the painting alongside cool blues and greys.
'High Tide At Helford' captures that feeling of admiring the river at its fullest, through a lens of diffused light.
