‘Alone At Low On Bream Cove’
Acrylic on canvas
Framed: 73.5 cm (H) x 103.5 cm (W)
Bream Cove is a place I find myself walking to when I crave a moment of solitude. More often than not, when I visit Bream Cove, I am the only one there.
I have spent many moments sailing past this beach, snorkelling beyond the rocks, and simply lying on the beach for hours.
This painting encapsulates those last golden hours of the day, when the tide has pulled back and the world feels a little stiller.
The sea retreats to reveal shallow pools caught between rocks, each one holding a small, perfect reflection of the sky above. Warm golds and ambers pooling in the hollows, glowing as though the land itself has kept a little of the sun.
'Alone At Low On Bream Cove' is a pause, an exhale. An invitation to stand barefoot on the rocks and let the quiet settle around you, as the last of the light fades into the sea.
